High-ranking representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, various Higher Educational Institutions, VET schools, employers’ associations, National Erasmus+ Office, ETF, World Bank and CAEP experts from Poland and Italy.
Based on the outcomes of the Riga Regional Conference on National Qualifications Framworks (NQF) in April 2016 and in line with the CAEP roadmap of activities, a series of one-day National Meetings on NQF will be held in all CA countries, to be started with events in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. All representatives from Central Asia ministries, institutions and other stakeholders have expressed the need for establishing NQF like systems to strengthen their educational systems, to address issues of transparent, needs-oriented qualifications and to ensure mobility of both learners and teaching / academic staff based on an accounted transferability between VET and HE linked occupations. On September 16, 2016, about 25 representatives from Central Asia and EU based experts on NQF have profited from policy dialogue at national level facilitated by CAEP and discussed reforms on NQF at national level, while sharing EU good practice approaches. Furthermore, proposals for peer learning topics linked to specific national context and NQF policies have been developed – these topics will be addressed as part of Peer Learning Approach on NQF (PLA NQF), CAEP will conduct in 2017 with the participation of experts from Latvia, Poland, ETF and other EU institutions.
