The general aim of Peer Learning (PLA) within CAEP 2 is to contribute to shaping and supporting regional collaboration between the Central Asia countries, in order to accelerate national policy development and implementation as well as sharing best practice and developing a regional mutually-trusting team.

The aim of this series of PLA meetings is to strengthen EU-Central Asia and regional collaboration in Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) in HE and VET.

The kick-off meeting will introduce the PLA method and summarise the lessons learnt during the peer learning meetings on NQF held in 2017. Participants will be invited to exchange views on the concept of ‘Quality’ in education and the use of different terminology surrounding QA and Accreditation in the participating countries will be identified.

Presentations and group discussions will then take place within the following themes:

• Internal Quality Assurance in HE and VET
• External Quality Assurance and Accreditation
• The costs (and benefits) of committing an education institution to Internal QA and Accreditation
• Involving Stakeholders and creating a Quality Culture within and around Education Institutions

The third, final day will see a wrap up of discussions and recommendations for further activities at both regional and national level
